Hi!
My name is Ruth, commonly known as Ruth Prints and I’m a textile artist and illustrator from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I find inspiration anywhere and everywhere, from the cosmos to the flora, fauna and geology of our beautiful, natural world and equally traipsing the Cregagh Road charity shops. I also love visiting museums with friends and even hoard personal collections of vintage fabrics, books, printed ephemera and weird and wonderful miscellaneous objects.
My colourful hand painted artworks are digitally printed locally, creating high quality giclée prints for your home as well as large abstract screen printed textile wallhangings.
I am never without personal projects and have numerous on the go at any one time. Aside from painting and printing, I love to dabble in hand embroidery, machine stitching and patchwork.
Most days I can be found working and playing in Vault Artist Studios, where I have been a proud member of the collective since 2018. I am also a member of Visual Artists Ireland and have previously been supported by both the Art’s Council of Northern Ireland and the Freelands Foundation.
